Tyler Mosienko (born March 21, 1984 in West St. Paul , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League since 2009 . His grandfather Bill Mosienko played for the Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey League from 1941 to 1955 .

Career

Tyler Mosienko began his career as a hockey player in Canada's top junior division, Western Hockey League , where he was active for the Kelowna Rockets from 2000 to 2005 . He then played for a year for Greenville Grrrowl in the ECHL , before he was signed by their league rivals Las Vegas Wranglers in the summer of 2006 , for whom he was on the ice for the following three seasons. During this period, the center also played games for the American Hockey League teams Bridgeport Sound Tigers , Manchester Monarchs and Rockford IceHogs . Before the 2009/10 season , the Canadian was signed by the Nürnberg Ice Tigers from the German Ice Hockey League .
