Brett Palin (born June 23, 1984 in Nanaimo , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Fehérvár AV19 in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .
Career
Palin first came into contact with ice hockey at the age of four. He began his career with the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League . There, the defender played for five years and won in the seasons 2002/03 and 2004/05 respectively Championship . In 2004 the Memorial Cup could be won. Among other things through these successes he made the organization of the Calgary Flames attention to himself, where he signed a contract as a free agent in 2005 , but he never got beyond assignments in the farm teams . For the next five years he played two seasons for the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights and another three for their successor teams, the Quad City Flames and the Abbotsford Heat . After another season in the American Hockey League with the Milwaukee Admirals , he decided to move to Europe, where he was used for Piráti Chomutov in the second-highest league in the Czech Republic . The promotion to the extra league succeeded in the very first season . A year later, the last place was achieved after the main round. In the relegation, however, the relegation could be secured.
In May 2013, the Grizzly Adams signed Wolfsburg Palin and gave him a one-year contract. He then worked for a year at Mora IK before signing a one-year contract with EHC Black Wings Linz in 2015 .
After the 2016/17 season, Palin did not receive a new contract in Linz and subsequently received various offers, including from France. In November 2017, he ultimately decided to work with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár .
