The 2012/13 season was the 20th regular staging of the highest Czech ice hockey league, the Tipsport Extraliga . Reigning champion was the HC Pardubice . Since the BK Mladá Boleslav was defeated in the previous season in the relegation to the champions of the 1st division , the Piráti Chomutov , the club was replaced by Chomutov in the extra league .

The championship of the league secured the HC Škoda Plzeň with a 4-3 victory over PSG Zlín in the final series. Due to a license sale, HC České Budějovice rose to the first division in July 2013 and was replaced by Mountfield HK .

mode

In 52 games, all teams play against each other four times, each team has 26 home and 26 away games throughout the season.
