The 2012/13 season was the tenth season of the Elite Ice Hockey League , the highest British ice hockey league . First of the regular season and thus British champions were the Nottingham Panthers , who also prevailed in the playoffs.

In the regular season, each of the ten teams played a total of 52 games. The first place became British Champion. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs, in which the playoff winner was played. For a win after regular playing time and after overtime each team received two points, for a defeat after overtime or shootout one point and for a defeat after normal playing time zero points.
