The 2012-13 IIHF Continental Cup was the 16th staging of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF discharged competition . The tournament was held from September 28, 2012 to January 13, 2013.
qualification
First round
The first round games took place from September 28 to September 30, 2012 in Miercurea Ciuc ( Romania ). Participants were Maccabi Metulla ( Israel ), HSC Csíkszereda (Romania), HK Vitez Belgrade ( Serbia ) and Başkent Yıldızları Spor Kulübü ( Turkey ).

Second round
The second round of the Continental Cup was played in two groups from October 19-21, 2012. The venues were Landshut in Germany (with the Landshut Cannibals , Belfast Giants ( United Kingdom ), Ruijters Eaters Geleen ( Netherlands ) and the first round winner HSC Csíkszereda ( Romania )) and Vaasa in Finland (with Liepājas Metalurgs ( Latvia ), Miskolci Jegesmedve Jégkorong SE ( Hungary ), HK Beibarys Atyrau ( Kazakhstan ) and hosts Vaasan Sport ).

Third round
The third round of the Continental Cup took place from November 23 to 25, 2012. Was played in two groups in the Italian Bolzano and Norwegian Stavanger . HC Bozen ( Italy ), Herning Blue Fox ( Denmark ), Toros Neftekamsk ( Russia ) and Metallurg Schlobin ( Belarus ), Stavanger Oilers ( Norway ) and KH Sanok ( Poland ) qualified directly .

The Super Final of the Continental Cup took place from January 11th to 13th, 2013. The venue for the tournament was Donetsk , Ukraine . Host HK Donbass Donetsk and last year's winner Rouen Dragons from France were set for this.
