history
The club was founded in 1988 as Torpedo Neftekamsk and received its current name Toros Neftekamsk two years later. The club participated in several seasons in the second division in the Soviet Union and later Russia. Until 2010 the club played in the Vysschaya League . For the 2010/11 season , the team was finally included in their successor league Wysschaja Hockey League . In the 2011/12 season she was there for the first time champions. In the 2012/13 season , the club was able to defend its title. However, since the Russian ice hockey league system has been closed since 2008, Toros Neftekamsk was not allowed to rise both times. In the 2013/14 season , the team took 1st place in the main round. In the playoffs Neftekamsk was eliminated in the semifinals with 0: 4 against the Kazakh team HK Saryarka Karaganda . It was the other way around in the following year, when Toros only finished eighth in the main round, but then with victories over Sauralje Kurgan (round of 16), Molot-Prikamje Perm (quarter-finals) and HK Saryarka Karaganda (semi-finals), which they were inferior in the previous year , reached the playoff finals. There the icebergs from the republic of Bashkortostan were able to win their third title with a 3-2 series of successes against Ischstal Izhevsk .
Toros Neftekamsk acts as the farm team for KHL participant Salawat Julajew Ufa .
