The HK Juschny Ural Orsk ( Russian Хоккейныӣ клуб Южный Урал Орск , German hockey club Südural Orsk ) is an ice hockey club founded in 1958 in the Russian city ​​of Orsk . The team plays in the second-rate Vysschaya hockey league .

history

The association was founded in 1958 as Komanda Orska . Initially, the team played in lower-class Soviet leagues. In the 1970/71 season he was promoted to the third class Wtoraja League . Due to the success in the preliminary round, the team tried to move up to the second division in 1989 through the promotion round , but failed as the last place.

From 1992 to 2010 the team was based in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . In 2010 it was included in their successor league , the Wysschaja Hockey League .

Yuzhny Ural Orsk is the farm team of KHL participant Metallurg Magnitogorsk .
