Molot-Prikamje Perm ( Russian Молот-Прикамье Пермь ) is a Russian ice hockey club from Perm, founded in 1948 . The team plays in the second highest Russian league, the Wysschaja Hockey League . The team plays their home games in the Universal Sports Palace with a capacity of 6,000.
history
Molot-Prikamje Perm was founded in 1948 in what was then Molotow as SK Sverdlowa Molotow. In 1959, when the city was renamed Perm, the ice hockey team was renamed Molot Perm a year earlier. The team kept this name until 1997, when the addition Prikamje followed.
Between 1992 and 2003, the team played non-stop in the top division, before relegation to the Wysschaja Liga followed at the end of the 2002/03 season. After only one year in the second division, the renewed promotion to the super league succeeded . 2006-2010 the club was back in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . 2010 Perm was added to the successor league Wysschaja Hockey League .
