Maccabi Metulla is an Israeli ice hockey club from Metulla , which was founded in 2008 and plays in the Israeli league . The home games are played in the Canada Center .

history

The Metulla Canada Center , until 2012 the only ice rink in Israel

2008 in Metulla next to the HC Metulla founded a youth association dedicated Maccabi Zairei Metulla called and immediately took up the game farm in the Israeli Hockey League. In 2010 the Canada Israel Hockey School was opened in Metulla, with which the club has been cooperating since then.

Young player of the club

In the 2011/12 season , the Maccabi team, nicknamed Eggenbreggers, won the first Israeli championship title . The club was thus qualified for the IIHF Continental Cup , in which it was eliminated in the first round after three defeats against HSC Csíkszereda (Romania), HK Vitez Belgrade (Serbia) and Başkent Yıldızları Spor Kulübü (Turkey). At this tournament Maccabi Metulla used players from other clubs in addition to their own, including Alexander Aharonov .
