Alexander Aharonov , actually Aleksandr Laschynskyj-Aaronov ( Ukrainian Александр Лашинский-Аронов , scientific transliteration Aleksandr Lašynskyj-Aaronov ; born September 11, 1992 in Zaporozhye , Ukraine ) is a former Israeli ice hockey goalkeeper since 2016 and has been the last Israeli ice hockey goalkeeper since 2016 Dragons Nes Ziona was signed to the Israel ice hockey league.

Career

Club

Alexander Aharonov began his career as an ice hockey player with HC Bat Yam . In 2011 he moved on loan from the Mediterranean coast to the northernmost town in Israel to the Maccabi Metulla Eggenbreggers . With his new team he won the Israeli championship title in 2012 , then played with Maccabi in the IIHF Continental Cup 2012/13 and then returned to HC Bat Yam after the loan ended. In 2014 he joined the Dragons Nes Ziona , with whom he ended his career in 2016.

National team

Aharonov was on the ice for Israel for the first time in Division III of the 2010 U-18 World Cup . He was in the squad of the men's national team for the first time in the Olympic qualification for the games in Sochi 2014, where it only reached last place in the pre-qualification in September 2012 in Zagreb after defeats against Serbia , Croatia and Mexico . Despite the arithmetical average of 18.1 goals conceded per game, he was also nominated for the 2013 World Cup . He was there, however, in the shadow of goalkeeper Avihu Sorotzky , who completed all five games and was awarded as the best goalkeeper of the tournament in Group B of Division II.

Coaching

Aharonov has been an assistant coach at HC Bat Yam since 2016 . At the U20 World Cup in Division III 2018 , he was the assistant coach of the Israeli youngsters.
