Super final

The Super Final of the Continental Cup took place from January 14th to 16th, 2011. The venue for the tournament was the Belarusian capital Minsk . In addition to the already seeded representatives from Belarus and Austria, the host HK Junost Minsk and the defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg , the Dragons de Rouen from France, as the winners of Group D, and Sønderjysk Elitesport Vojens from Denmark, secured themselves in the final qualifying round as the winner of Group E, the remaining two places.

On the first day of play, the favorites - the hosts from Minsk and the defending champions from Salzburg - showed no weakness and won their opening games. Minsk struggled in the narrow 2: 1 against Sønderjysk Elitesport Vojens but more than Salzburg against the Dragons de Rouen. A similar picture emerged in the following round. Both Salzburg and Minsk emerged victorious from their games and so the final game of the competition had to decide the victory. Previously, Sønderjysk Elitesport was able to secure third place with a 3-2 win over Rouen. It was the best result of a Danish team in the Continental Cup. In the final game, the hosts got off to a better start and were 3-0 in front shortly before the end of the third third. Although the Austrians were able to shorten before the third break, another goal by the Belarusians in the middle third restored the old gap. The defending champion's chase to catch up in the final section was unsuccessful and so Junost Minsk was able to celebrate winning the Continental Cup for the second time since 2007 .

The six games in the 15,000-seat Minsk Arena attracted a total of 43,410 spectators. The final match between HK Junost Minsk and EC Red Bull Salzburg was almost sold out with 14,550 spectators.
