Christoffer Kjærgaard (born May 3, 1980 in Herning ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has played mostly in the highest Danish league since 1997 and signed a contract with the Lausitzer Füchsen for the 2012/13 season , which was later extended. He left the Lausitzer Füchse to return to his Danish homeland.

Career

With his hometown club he won the Danish Championship in the 2000/01 , 2002/03 , 2004/05 , 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons . In the 2009/10 season he won both the championship and the Danish Ice Hockey Cup with SønderjyskE Ishockey . He was able to win the cup again the following year.

International

Kjærgaard took part for Denmark as a youth selection player in the U18 Junior B European Championship 1997 (2 goals, 2 assists). He was also a participant in the U20 Junior B World Championships in 1999 and 2000 . The latter scored three goals. He had been a member of the Danish men's national team since the same year and took part in several world championships .
