The 30 Hockey Championship U18 juniors was held from 14. bis 22. April 1997 in Třebíč and Znojmo in the Czech Republic instead. The games of group B were played from March 22 to 29, 1997 in Maribor , Slovenia . The C group played from March 12 to 16, 1997 in Bucharest , Romania . The Serbian capital Belgrade was the venue of the D-Gruppe from March 4th to 9th, 1997 .
