Csaba Prokec ( Serbian - Cyrillic Чаба Прокец ; born April 21, 1980 in Subotica , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian national ice hockey player who has spent his entire career with Swedish teams.

Career

Csaba Prokec, who belongs to the Hungarian minority in Vojvodina , began his career as an ice hockey player with Rögle BK . For the club from Skåne he played in both the J20 SuperElit , the highest Swedish junior class, and in the HockeyAllsvenskan , the second highest men's league. At the turn of the year 2001/02 he went to the third-class Division 1 , where he played for various clubs until his retirement in 2009.

International

Yugoslavia Prokec participated in the Europe Division of the U18 D European Championship in 1997 , where he played a determining role as a scorer and top scorer for promotion to the C group and the U20-D World Cup in 1999 and the U20-C World Cup 2000 in part .

In the men's area, Prokec made his debut at the C World Championship in 2000 in the Yugoslav national ice hockey team . After the change to the current division system, he played for the Yugoslav team at the 2001 and 2002 World Championships in Division II. After the final breakup of Yugoslavia, he also played for the Serbian-Montenegrin national team at the 2003 , 2004 and 2005 World Championships in Division II. After all, he was active for the Serbian team after the breakaway of Montenegro and played with them again in Division II at the 2009 World Cup .
