The 22nd European Ice Hockey Championship for U18 juniors took place from April 2 to 10, 1989 in Kiev in the Soviet Union (now Ukraine ). The games of the B group were played from March 16 to 23, 1989 in Klagenfurt , Austria . The venue for the C group was Puigcerdà in Spain from March 24th to 29th, 1989 .
