During the 2001/02 season, the goalie returned to Russia, where he was initially under contract from 2002 to 2005 for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk , and then for another three years at HK Dynamo Moscow . With Dynamo Moscow he won the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2006 . The 2007/08 season ended Svyagin at Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod , before he was committed in the summer of 2008 by Lokomotive Yaroslavl . As a substitute for Georgi Gelaschwili , he completed five games in the main round and one playoff game in the newly founded Continental Hockey League .
