history
In 2005 he was promoted to the super league. Before that, the club played mostly in the Wysschaya League . The club was founded in Podolsk , but moved to Chekhov in 2000. The name was changed to Vitjas Chekhov in 2004. From 2000 the club played its home games in the Ice Palace Vitjas in Podolsk, which was also used as a venue for HK MWD Balaschikha until 2006 . In 2004, the Chekhov ice hockey center was opened, initially accommodating 1,370 spectators and henceforth the home ground of Vitja. During the 2007/08 season the ice hockey center was expanded to 3,300 seats, but it still does not meet the standards of the Super League or KHL.
Since joining the KHL, the club has been known for its physical and North American style of play.
