Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk ( Russian : Нефтехимик Нижнекамск ) is an ice hockey club founded in 1968 in the Russian city of Nizhnekamsk . The club colors are white, green and blue. Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk plays in the Continental Hockey League . The home games are played in the SKK Neftechimik , which has a capacity for 5,500 visitors. The club has not been able to win titles so far.
history
The club, founded in 1968, played for many years in the lower leagues of the Soviet Union . Only with the disintegration of the same could Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk establish itself in the upper classes.
After rising from the Vtoraja League to the Pervaya League in the early 1990s, he won the championship title in the second-rate Russian Open Championship in 1995 . After financial assurances and proof of concrete plans for a new ice rink, Neftechimik was subsequently allowed to move up to the international hockey league . The team established itself there over the years. The best result was a sixth place at the end of the 2000/01 season. A year later they won the prestigious Tampere Cup .
