Alexander Iwanowitsch Bodunow ( Russian Александр Иванович Бодунов ; born June 3, 1951 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † May 11, 2017 ) was a Russian ice hockey player and coach.

Career

During his Soviet period he played with Krylya Sowetow Moscow , HK CSKA Moscow and HK Spartak Moscow . In total, he scored 206 goals in 378 games in the Soviet league . He and his partners Vyacheslav Anissin and Yuri Lebedew formed a very successful storm series. He was appointed to the Soviet national ice hockey team at an early age . On September 6, 1972 he was in a game against Canada as part of the 1972 Summit Series for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with gold medals at the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1973 and 1974. For the national team, he scored 23 goals in 57 international matches. On December 19, 1974, he played his last international match. He had previously been part of the Soviet team in the 1974 Summit Series .
