Yevgeny Evgenyevich Artjuchin ( Russian Евгений Евгеньевич Артюхин ; born April 4, 1983 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Vitjas in the Continental Hockey League since May .
Career
Yevgeny Artyuchin began his career as a hockey player in the youth of Vityas Podolsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the second-rate Vysschaya League in the 1999/2000 season and rose to the Super League in the same year . There he gave a template in 24 games in the following season. The attacker stayed with the club even after Podolsk's direct relegation. In addition, he was selected in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft in the third round as the 94th player of the Tampa Bay Lightning . After the Russian had spent the 2002/03 season with the Moncton Wildcats in the Canadian top junior league QMJHL , he played from 2003 to 2005 for the farm teams of the Lightning, the Hershey Bears and Springfield Falcons from the American Hockey League and the Pensacola Ice Pilots in the ECHL .
In the 2005/06 season Artjuchin made his debut in the National Hockey League for Tampa, for which he scored 18 points in a total of 77 games. Despite his regular place, he returned to his Russian homeland, where he was on the ice from 2006 to 2008 for Lokomotive Yaroslavl , HK Awangard Omsk and HK CSKA Moscow . In the summer of 2008, Artyuchin signed another contract in Tampa, but moved after only one year in exchange for a draft right and Drew Miller to their league rivals Anaheim Ducks .
In March 2010 he was given to the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for Nathan Oystrick , who did not renew his contract in the summer of 2010. As a result, he was initially unemployed before he was committed in November of the same year by SKA Saint Petersburg from the Continental Hockey League . For the 2013/14 season, the Russian was signed by Atlant Moskovskaya Oblast and collected 19 scorer points for the club in 49 games this season. Subsequently, his contract was terminated in July 2014.
He spent the 2014/15 season at HK CSKA Moscow , with whom he won the Russian championship as the best team in the KHL main round . After this success he returned to SKA Saint Petersburg and was released from his current contract in December 2015.
From June 2016 Artjuchin played at HK Sibir Novosibirsk and scored 9 points in 54 games this season. He was then without a club before he was signed for one year by HK Dynamo Moscow in August 2017 .

For Russia Artjuchin took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2001 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2003 . Both times he won the gold medal with the team.
