Dmytro Eduardowytsch Zyrul ( Ukrainian Дмитро Едуардович Цируль , Russian Дмитрий Эдуардович Цыруль / Dmitry Eduardovich Zyrul; * 3. January 1979 in Glasow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Ukrainian hockey player , who most recently in HC Donbass in the Supreme Hockey League played.
Career
Dmytro Zyrul started his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Druzhba-78 Kharkiv . From 1995 to 1998 he played for the second team of HK Dynamo Moscow, first in the third-class Pervaya League and then in the second-rate Wysschaya League . He then returned to Ukraine for two years and played for HK Sokil Kiev in the East European Hockey League , which he won with the club in 1999. At the same time, he was also active for teams from the Russian capital club Krylya Sowetow Moscow in the Pervaya and Wysschaya League. The following years until 2007 he played - apart from four games for Barwinok Kharkiv in 2003 - then exclusively in Russia. He played for Krylia Sowetow Moscow, where he moved again in 2002, Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod and the HK tractor Chelyabinsk , with which he was promoted from the Vysschaya League in 2006, a total of 50 times in the Russian Super League .
In 2007 Zyrul returned to Sokil Kiev and in the following years played not only in the Ukrainian ice hockey league , which he won with the club in 2009 , but also in the Russian Vyshaya League and the Belarusian Extra League . After four years in Kiev, he moved to eastern Ukraine in 2011, where he was on the ice for one season at HK Donbass Donetsk in the Russian Vysschaja Hockey League before ending his career.
International
For Ukraine, Zyrul took part in the junior division of the U18 European A Championship in 1997 , where he was elected to the all-star team of the tournament, and the U20 B World Championship in 1999 .
In the senior division, he was part of his country's squad at the World Championships in the top division in 2002 , 2004 , 2005 and 2007 as well as in Division I in 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2011 . He also represented his colors in the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006 and in Vancouver in 2010 , in which the Ukrainians could not qualify for the games.
