Kristall Saratow ( Russian Кристалл Саратов ) is an ice hockey club in the Russian city ​​of Saratov . The team has been playing in the third-rate Wysschaja Hockey League B since 2017 .

history

The association was founded in 1946 as Bolshevik Saratov.

In the 1966/67 season they were promoted to the second-rate league , in which the team won the championship in 1974 and 1976.

From 1998 to 2010 Kristall Saratov played continuously in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . In 2010 the club was included in their successor league , the Wysschaja Hockey League , and temporarily acted as the farm team for KHL participant Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . During the 2016/17 season, the club had to withdraw from the game due to financial problems.

The first team has been playing in the third-rate Wysschaja Hockey League B since 2017 .
