Bazuel is a commune in northern France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Cambrai arrondissement and the Le Cateau-Cambrésis canton (the old canton of Cateau-Cambrésis until 2015 ). It borders Pommereuil to the north, Ors to the northeast, Catillon-sur-Sambre to the southeast, Mazinghien to the south and Le Cateau-Cambrésis to the west . The village is 140 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Bazuélois .

The former Route nationale 39 leads via Bazuel.
