Rumilly-en-Cambrésis (NDL .: "Rumelih") is a French municipality with 1453 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement Cambrai and the canton Le Cateau-Cambrésis ( canton Marcoing until 2015 ).

history

Before the Revolution, Rumilly belonged to the Anneux family (whose coat of arms is now the municipal coat of arms), who inherited the place - like Saint-Souplet - from a bastard line of the House of Burgundy .
