Escarmain is a French municipality with 470 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cambrai and the Canton of Caudry (until 2015: Canton Solesmes ).

Escarmain is about 22 kilometers east-northeast of Cambrai . Escarmain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bermerain in the north, Capelle in the north and north-east, Beaudignies in the east, Romeries in the south, Vertain in the west and south-west and Saint-Martin-sur-Écaillon in the west and north-west.
