Beauvois-en-Cambresis is a French municipality with 2072 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Cambrai and the canton of Caudry (until 2015: canton of Carnières ). The inhabitants are called Beauvoisien (ne) s .
geography
Beauvois-en-Cambrésis is about seven kilometers southeast of Cambrai . Beauvois-en-Cambrésis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Boussières-en-Cambrésis in the north and north-west, Bévillers in the north, Béthencourt in the east, Caudry in the south-east, Fontaine-au-Pire in the south and south-west and Carnières in the north-west.
The former Route nationale 39 (or Route nationale 43 ; today's Départementstrasse 643) leads through the municipality .
