Cattenières is about eight kilometers east-southeast of Cambrai . Cattenières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Estourmel in the north and northwest, Carnières in the north and northeast, Fontaine-au-Pire in the east and southeast, Haucourt-en-Cambrésis in the south, Esnes in the southwest and Wambaix in the west.
