Saint-Python is a French commune with 1,016 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Cambrai and the Canton of Caudry (until 2015: Canton Solesmes ). The inhabitants are called salicétains .

geography

Saint-Python is about 17 kilometers east of Cambrai . The river Selle flows through the community . Saint-Python is surrounded by the neighboring communities Haussy in the north, Vertain in the northeast, Solesmes in the south and east, Viesly in the southwest and Saint-Vaast-en-Cambrésis in the west.
