Vigleik oath
Vigleik Eide (* 1933 ; † 2011 ) was a Norwegian general and diplomat .
He visited u. a. the Norwegian military academy Krigsskolen in Oslo , 1970 to 1972 the command academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg and the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome . Eide went through various uses with the Norwegian Army . From 1987 to 1989 he was Commander-in-Chief of the Norwegian Armed Forces . From 1989 to 1993 he was chairman of the NATO military committee .
Later he was the Norwegian ambassador for Lebanon and Syria.
