Krigsskolen

Krigsskolen is the military academy of the Norwegian Army in Oslo .

The academy was established by royal decree on December 16, 1750 as Den frie matematiske skole i Christiania and is therefore the oldest higher education institution in Norway .

In addition to training the future officer corps in military science, the school is known for training in mathematics, science, architecture and engineering. Many infrastructure constructions such as bridges were planned and built by graduates of the Krigsskolen .

The cadets is a library with about 11,000 books and 130 subscribed newspapers and magazines are available.
