The Norwegian College of Fisheries (Norwegian: Norges fiskerihøgskole , NFH for short ) was founded in 1972 as a result of a collaboration between the three universities of Bergen , Tromsø and Trondheim and has been a semi-autonomous university within the University of Tromsø since 1988. In autumn 2012 around 200 people were studying at the NFH.

The university is the center of Norwegian research in fisheries and aquaculture with a particular focus on training in the fishing industry and fishing industry.
