The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO, Norwegian Arkitektur- og designhøgskolen i Oslo and formerly Arkitekthøgskolen i Oslo ) is a public research university that offers training in architecture, industrial design, urban planning and landscape architecture and was founded in 1945. The school is located in Oslo and in 2013 had around 600 students and 120 employees.

The English name of the college is The Oslo School of Architecture and Design .

The school is divided into four departments:

  • Department of Architecture
  • Institute for Urban Development and Landscape Planning
  • Institute for Form, Theory and History
  • Institute for industrial design

AHO is a leading Nordic institution in the research of architecture and design. The research is divided and organized as projects among the departments.

The research program is organized as a separate academic and administrative unit. The same applies to the AHO library and various workshops.
