La Groise is a municipality with 481 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Le Cateau-Cambrésis in the Arrondissement of Cambrai . It borders on Ors to the northwest , Landrecies to the northeast, Le Favril to the east, Fesmy-le-Sart to the south and Catillon-sur-Sambre to the west . The residents call themselves Groisiens.
The former Route nationale 45 leads via La Groise. There the road branches off, which was called N45a from 1933–73 .
