Carnières is a commune in northern France . It belongs to the Hauts-de-France region , the Nord department , the Cambrai arrondissement and the Caudry canton (until 2015 the Carnières canton ). It borders in the northwest with Cagnoncles , in the north with Rieux-en-Cambrésis , in the northeast with Avesnes-les-Aubert , in the east with Boussières-en-Cambrésis , in the southeast with Fontaine-au-Pire , in the south with Cattenières , in the southwest to Estourmel and to the west to Cauroir . The settlement area is 80 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Carniérois .
