Vendegies-sur-Écaillon is a French commune with 1,068 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Caudry (until 2015 canton of Solesmes ) in the Arrondissement of Cambrai . The inhabitants call themselves Vendegeois .
geography
The municipality is affected by the Écaillon and borders on Quérénaing in the north, Artres and Sepmeries in the northeast, Bermerain in the east, Saint-Martin-sur-Écaillon in the south, Haussy and Verchain-Maugré in the south-west and Sommaing in the west .
