The Écaillon is a river in France that runs in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region . It rises in the municipality of Locquignol , in the Avesnois Regional Nature Park , generally drains in a north-westerly direction and flows into the canalized Scheldt after 33 kilometers north of Thiant as a right tributary .
