The 2007/08 season was the first season of the Elite Series under the name AL-Bank Ligaen and thus the 23rd edition of the highest Danish ice hockey division . The champions were the Herning Blue Fox for the 14th time in the club's history .

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 45 games. The eight best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
