The 1970/71 season was the 14th season of the 1st division , the highest Danish ice hockey division . Gladsaxe SF became champion for the third time in the club's history . Hvidovre Ishockey was relegated to the second division.

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 18 games. The first place in the main round was champion. The last placed rose to the second division. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
