The 1982/83 season was the 26th season of the 1st division , the highest Danish ice hockey division . The champions were the Rødovre Mighty Bulls for the second time in the club's history . The Frederikshavn White Hawks were relegated to the second division.

In the main round, each of the eight teams played a total of 28 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
