The 1984/85 season was the 25th season of the 1st division , the highest Danish ice hockey division . Champions were for the third time in the history of the Rødovre SIK .

mode

In the main round, each of the 14 teams played a total of 26 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played. The teams in places 5 to 8 played the two participants in the relegation in another single round, while the season was over for the other teams. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.

Due to the league reform in 1985, a total of seven teams relegated to the second division, the teams in places 9 to 14 and the loser of the relegation. The 1st division was renamed the Elite Series, while the 1st division was established as the new second division.
