Rebekka Reinhard (born December 3, 1972 in Munich ) is a German philosopher , author of scientific and popular scientific philosophical literature and deputy editor-in-chief of the philosophy magazine Hohe Luft .

Life

After graduating from the Oskar-von-Miller-Gymnasium in Munich in 1992, Rebekka Reinhard studied ancient Greek philosophy at the Ca'Foscari University in Venice. She studied Philosophy, American Studies and Italian Philology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (from 1993) and at the Free University of Berlin (from 1994). After the master's degree, she was on interdisciplinary oriented John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies , FU Berlin with summa cum laude with a dissertation on American and French contemporary philosophy doctorate .

From 2007 to 2015 she worked as a philosophical advisor for inpatients at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Since 2007 she has been a speaker and trainer for company executives as well as for numerous educational and health institutions and congresses, including Evangelische Akademie Tutzing , the Technical University of Munich , the advanced training academy of the Hamburg Medical Association and the University of Cambridge .

Reinhard's book, based on her dissertation and published in 2003, Against Philosophical Fundamentalism: Post-analytical and Deconstructivist Perspectives , was cited by the German philosopher Herbert Schnädelbach as an important research contribution on post-analytic philosophy in his 2004 book Analytical and Post-analytical Philosophy .

This was followed by several popular scientific non-fiction book publications in the tradition of the philosophy of the art of living , in which Reinhard combines philosophy and zeitgeist criticism, as well as articles for daily newspapers and magazines, including Berliner Zeitung , Süddeutsche Zeitung , Bild am Sonntag , Geo and Bunte . Reinhard has been deputy editor-in-chief of the philosophy magazine Hohe Luft since 2019 .
