history
The Gladsaxe SF was founded in 1959. In the 1962/63 season , the club took part in the highest Danish ice hockey league for the first time . Until the end of the 1970s, Gladsaxe SF's first team was an integral part of Denmark's elite division and was able to win the national championship title in 1967, 1968, 1971, 1974 and 1975 . Following the first and last title win, the club took part in the European Ice Hockey Cup, in which he was defeated in the 1967/68 season by the Norwegian club Vålerenga IF Oslo with 1:12 and 1:15; in the first round of the 1975/76 competition , the club lost just as clearly with 2: 7 and 0:12 to the Norwegian competitor Frisk Asker . After relegation in the 1977/78 season, Gladsaxe only played sporadically in the Danish top division, most recently in the 1999/2000 season .
In the 2011/12 season, the Gladsaxe Bears, as the club's senior team is called, play in the second-class 1st division .
