The European Ice Hockey Cup in the 1975/76 season was the eleventh edition of the competition of the same name by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF . The competition began in November 1975; the final was played in December 1977. A total of 16 teams took part. The CSKA Moscow won after a year's break for the seventh time overall title.
Mode and participants
The national champions of the game year 1974/75 of the European members of the IIHF were qualified for the competition. The competition was played in the knockout system in a two-legged manner. CSKA Moscow and TJ Sokol Kladno were seeded for the semi-finals.
