history

Player of the Club (Feb 2016)

The ice hockey department joined the Budapest sports club Ferencvárosi TC in 1928 , which was founded in 1899. It was not until 1951 that the club won its first championship title. The team won this and the two championships in 1955 and 1956 under the name Kinizsi SE Budapest . From 1957 the players were back on the ice as Ferencvárosi TC. In total, the club has won 25 Hungarian championship titles and is therefore the sole record champion. In addition, they won the Hungarian Ice Hockey Cup 13 times .

Despite the superiority, especially in the 1960s and 1970s, there was no success at the national level in recent years, so that the last championship title was won in 1997. The last cup win dates back to 1995. In 2003 the FTC won the Pannonian League , a Southeast European ice hockey championship for the first and only time.

In the 2018/19 season , the club took part in the Elite Women's Hockey League as a syndicate with MAC Budapest and came in seventh.

In 2019 they won the Hungarian-Romanian First League title for the first time, and this success also meant their first national title in 22 years.
