Alexander Vladimirovich Gussew ( Russian Александр Владимирович Гусев ; born January 21, 1947 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † July 22, 2020 there ) was a Russian ice hockey player and coach.
Career
During his career, Gusew played for CSKA Moscow , SKA MWO Kalinin and the 1978/79 season for SKA Leningrad . In total, he scored 64 goals in 335 games in the highest Soviet league .
International
On December 1, 1969, he was on the ice for the first time for the Soviet national team in a game against the GDR . His international career was crowned with a gold medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics . For the national team, he scored 29 goals in 128 international matches. On September 21, 1977 he played his last international match. In 1973 he was named the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR .
As a trainer
Between 1984 and 1990 he was a trainer for the SKA MWO Kalinin. Then he was active in the veteran team URSS Hockey Legends .
