The Aigles de Saint Gervais (official name: Sporting Hockey Club Saint Gervais ) are a French ice hockey team from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains .

history

The Sporting Hockey Club Saint Gervais played regularly in the top French ice hockey league from the 1950s . From the end of the 1960s, the Aigles de Saint Gervais were among the most successful ice hockey teams in the country and won the national championship title in 1969, 1974, 1975, 1983, 1985 and 1986 . For the 1986/87 season , the professional department merged with the neighboring Club des Sports de Megève . The Mont-Blanc HC was created as a result of the cooperation . Due to financial problems of the Mont-Blanc HC, Megève and Saint Gervais started again with separate professional teams from 1989, before the Mont-Blanc HC project was restarted in 2002. Since the renewed merger of the professional division, Saint Gervais only has a junior division.
