The Boucs de Megève (official name: Club des Sports de Megève ) are a French ice hockey team from Megève , which was founded in 1923.
history
The association was founded in 1923 by Jean Motte, but was not officially registered until July 17, 1931. The team played regularly in the top French ice hockey league from the 1950s . The greatest success in the club's history was winning the French championship title in the 1983/84 season . For the 1986/87 season , the professional division merged with the neighboring Sporting Hockey Club Saint Gervais . The Mont-Blanc HC was created as a result of the cooperation . Due to financial problems of the Mont-Blanc HC, Megève and Saint Gervais started again with separate professional teams from 1989, before the Mont-Blanc HC project was restarted in 2002. Since the renewed merger of the professional department, Megève only has a junior department.
