Franck Pajonkowski (born January 21, 1964 in Douai ) is a former French ice hockey player who participated, among other things, twice with the French national ice hockey team in the Winter Olympics.

Career

Franck Pajonkowski began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league QMJHL , in which he was active from 1981 to 1983 for the Cataractes de Shawinigan and Saguenéens de Chicoutimi . The attacker then returned to his French homeland, where he won the national championship for the first time with CS Megève from Ligue Magnus in the 1983/84 season . From 1985 to 1987 he played for the Français Volants de Paris before he left the capital club again. He was then uninterrupted for 17 years until his retirement in 2004 at the age of 40 with Rouen Hockey Elite 76 under contract. With the team he won the championship seven times (1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 2001 and 2003) as well as the Coupe de France , the national cup competition, in the 2001/02 season . In 1990 and 1996 the national player was runner-up with Rouen and in 2000 he failed with the Dragons in the final of the Coupe de France at the Hockey Club de Caen . During his career Pajonkowski was one of the best strikers in Ligue Magnus and won a total of five times (1985, 1991, 1994, 1996 and 1997) the Charles Ramsey trophy as top scorer in the French top division.

International

For France Pajonkowski took part in the C world championships in 1985 , the B world championships in 1986 and 1987 and the A world championships in 1993 , 1994 , 1995 and 1996 . He was also in his country's squad at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and 1994 in Lillehammer .
