Card of the participants of the CHL 2018/19

mode

The 32 teams start in a group stage with eight groups of four clubs each. The teams played a home and an away game against each group opponent.

The two best teams in each group qualified for the round of 16. This and the following rounds were played back and forth in the knockout process. The final was played in one game.

Attendees

32 clubs from 13 leagues took part in the CHL. Depending on the strength of the league, the six so-called founding leagues had three to five starting places (including the defending champion) and the seven so-called challenge leagues had one starting place each. There was also a starting place for the winner of the IIHF Continental Cup 2017/18 , HK Junost Minsk .
