Ivan Deluca (born July 28, 1997 in Sterzing ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Bozen in the Austrian ice hockey league since 2018 .

Career

Ivan Deluca began his career as a hockey player with the WSV Sterzing Broncos from his hometown, where he first went through the various youth classes. He became the Italian U16 champion in 2013. In 2015 he won both the U18 and U20 titles with the club. In 2013 he made his debut as a 16-year-old in the first team of the club from the southern Wipptal in the Elite.A , as the top Italian division was called at the time. In 2016 he moved with the club to the newly founded Alps Hockey League . In 2018 he joined HC Bozen , an Italian club that had just won the Austrian ice hockey league .

International

For Italy Deluca first took part in the U18 World Championships in Division I in 2014 and 2015 , where he was voted the best player on his team. With the Italian U20 team , he also played in Division I at the 2017 World Cup .

With the men's selection of Italy , he played for the first time at the 2018 World Cup in Division I, where he, as the best template provider, contributed to the promotion of the Italians to the top division.
